Criminal Justice Act Panel Training
(Defense Attorneys Only)


The Federal Public Defender for the Southern District of Texas is presenting a seminar designed to assist Criminal Justice Act ("CJA") panel attorneys appointed in federal criminal cases. This seminar is for defense attorneys eligible or seeking to become eligible to take CJA appointments.


The State Bar of Texas MCLE Department has approved this seminar for 8.0 hours of CLE credit (including 1.0 hours of legal ethics) (Course No. 928001994). There is no cost for participants or for those attorneys wishing to apply for the CLE credit.


Registration will be available the morning of the seminar, but preregistration is preferred. Click the link at the bottom of the page to register. You may also fax the completed form to (956)753-5317, attention: Ana Mares.


A group block of hotel rooms has been reserved at the La Posada Hotel, 1000 Zaragoza St., Laredo, TX 78040 (1-800-444-2099). The special group rate is $85.00 per night for single occupancy. Please call the hotel for reservations and indicate that you will be attending CJA Training - Panel.
