ANNOUNCEMENT

This presentation will provide an overview of the role of attorneys who, as members of the CJA (Criminal Justice Act) Panel Bar, accept appointments to represent indigent clients in federal criminal cases. With a focus on “best practices, strategies and tips” the discussion will include information about the duties and responsibilities involved in representing such clients, from initial appointment through resolution of the case. For attorneys who wish to join the CJA Panel Bar, information about requirements to apply for membership will also be shared. There is no cost for attendance in this training, and it is not approved for CLE credit. PLEASE NOTE THIS TRAINING IS BEING HELD AT THE REQUEST OF THE COURT, AND IS MANDATORY FOR LAREDO CJA PANEL ATTORNEYS.
